 The year 2024 witnessed several organizations stepping forward to extend scholarships to deserving students. Educational Support in Udupi

Canara Bank organized the Dr. Ambedkar Vidya Jyothi Scholarship distribution in Udupi, held at the Syndicate Bank Golden Jubilee Auditorium. The initiative was aimed at supporting students from backward communities, with scholarships awarded to students from grades 5 to 10. A total of 40 female students benefitted, receiving Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. Canara Bank’s efforts reflect the importance of encouraging academic success among young learners.

In Bengaluru, a partnership between the Akshaya Patra Foundation and the Dr. Majeed Foundation led to a scholarship program benefiting over 130 students. Held at the ISKCON Campus, the event provided scholarships to students from economically weaker backgrounds, ranging from INR 25 lakh in total. Such collaborations underscore the significance of joint efforts in driving educational support.

CSR Initiative by SCM Garments, Tirupur

SCM Garments, a notable name in the textile sector, allocated Rs 1 crore for scholarships to support nearly 5,000 students. This annual CSR initiative aimed to assist children from government schools and those pursuing higher education. Commissioner Pawankumar G. Kariyapavanar commended the students and emphasized the importance of continued education, highlighting how corporate initiatives can boost educational progress.

RMD Foundation’s Dedication to Education in Pune

The RMD Foundation marked the birth anniversary of Rasiklal Dhariwal with a scholarship distribution in Pune, supporting over 12,000 students. The focus was primarily on assisting those pursuing medical education. Vice President Shobhatai R. Dhariwal pointed out that these scholarships have enabled countless students to pursue their studies, making a lasting difference in their lives.

The Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM) and Abhay Bhutada Foundation collaborated to offer scholarships to students from the Maheshwari community. His focus is now on philanthropic work, including the distribution of STEM kits to encourage science education.
